Subjects

Introduction

The subjects service is one of those critical ones which interacts with a lot of other services. It defines which subjects students have selected, and which subjects tutors are approved to tutor in. Therefore, it affects RESN Help, Quizzes and Wiki.

How it works

Students and tutors initially have no subjects added to their accounts.

Admin

Admins need to be able to edit the subjects for tutors - this is something that the tutor can’t do themselves. This should be a specific permission which can be given to users (e.g. “subjects_admin).
